June Project is a week-long community outreach where students from churches across Leeds come together to serve the community of Hyde Park.
Our aim is to show Hyde Park the love of Jesus, so we serve practically by helping with graffiti removal, gardening, painting and other such maintenance projects. We also host free evening events, share meals with other religious groups in the area and we have a free family fun day for the community every year. In all that we do, we act with servant hearts, being ready to share the gospel with anyone that we meet.
We spend time each morning receiving from God before going out to serve in the afternoon. Every evening finishes with space for us to come back to worship and praise God. Everything we do on June Project feeds into an evangelistic lifestyle that will build the local church.
June Project in Leeds began in 2013 and was a huge success with students and other adults from a dozen or so churches participating. 2018 will be our sixth year running and we are so excited! We have a number of teams that will go out to bless Hyde Park in a range of practical ways, sharing the great news of the Gospel. On Saturday 9th June we'll host a massive Family Fun Day with food, fun and friendships enjoyed by hundreds of residents and the team! Throughout the week we will put on evening events for the team and the community.
We're looking to get lots of volunteers to sign up to serve the community and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ by actions and words. If you think you would be interested in joining a team to cook, clean, create or generally give, then mark the dates for JP18 into your diary: 4- 9th June 2018 and... GET INVOLVED!
